Return & Refund Policy — Ahhh Love Oil

1. Applicability

 

This policy applies to purchases made via our website (Shopify direct sales). For orders purchased through Amazon, see the Amazon Addendum below.

 

2. Return Eligibility & Conditions


2.1 Unopened & Undamaged Items

 

  • Returns accepted for items that are unopened, sealed, and in original packaging, within 30 calendar days of delivery.

  • The product must show no signs of tampering or leakage and include all components (caps, seals, cartons).

 

2.2 Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders

 

  • If your order arrives damaged, defective, or the wrong item, contact us within 7 days of delivery for a replacement or refund.

  • We may require a photo or video as proof of the issue before issuing a return label or refund.

 

2.3 Perishable / Opened Items

 

  • For safety and quality reasons, opened or partially consumed bottles are not eligible for return.

  • In rare cases of manufacturing defects discovered after opening, we may evaluate on a case-by-case basis.


2.4 Final Sale Items

 

  • Items sold during special promotions (e.g. clearance, limited time offers) may be designated “Final Sale” and not eligible for return or refund.

  • We will clearly mark such items on product pages and in checkout.

 


 

3. Return Window & Process

 

3.1 Return Window

 

  • Standard return window: 30 days from the date of delivery.

  • After 30 days, we can’t accept returns (except in the case of defects).

 

3.2 How to Initiate a Return

 

  • Login to your account or reply to your order confirmation email within the return window.

  • Provide your order number, product name/variant, and reason for return.

  • Once approved, we’ll send a return shipping label or instruct how to ship back.

  • Return your package within 7 calendar days of receiving the return authorization.

 

3.3 Inspection & Refund Processing

  • After we receive and inspect the return (verifying conditions above), we will issue a refund to the original payment method (may exclude original shipping fee).

  • Refunds generally process within 5–10 business days after inspection.

 


 

4. Shipping Costs & Restocking Fees

 

4.1 Return Shipping Costs

 

  • We offer prepaid return labels if the return is due to our error (wrong item, defective, shipping damage).

  • For buyer’s remorse returns (you changed your mind), the customer covers the return shipping cost.

 


4.2 Restocking Fee (Optional)

 

  • We may charge a 5% restocking fee on returns to offset handling costs.

  • The restocking fee (if any) will be clearly disclosed during the return initiation process.

 


 

5. Refunds vs Exchanges

 

  • Refunds go to the original payment method unless otherwise requested and approved.

  • Exchanges (same item in a different size/flavor) are allowed when available — we’ll ship the new item after we receive the return.

  • If the replacement item price differs, we adjust accordingly (charge or refund the difference).

 



6. Lost or Non-Received Returns

 

  • Customers are responsible for proof of shipment (tracking) for returns.

  • If a return is lost in transit, we may require the tracking info to validate refund.

  • For items returned to wrong address due to our label error, we take responsibility and re-send.

     



7. Order Cancellation

 

  • You may cancel or modify your order before it is fulfilled/shipped.

  • Once it has shipped, you must use the return procedure above.

  • Orders canceled before fulfillment are fully refunded.

 


 

8. Amazon Sales — Addendum

 

For orders placed on Amazon, your return rights are governed by Amazon’s policies, which may differ from ours:

  • Many Amazon olive oil listings are marked non-returnable due to the product being ingestible, but refunds or replacements are allowed if damaged, defective, or incorrect. 

  • The Amazon A-to-z Guarantee may apply, offering additional protections to buyers.

  • We will comply with Amazon’s return and refund processes (and timelines) for Amazon channel sales.

  • You must initiate returns via your Amazon order portal; we cannot override Amazon’s system.

  • Our policy statements here may not override Amazon’s mandatory requirements, but where Amazon allows flexibility, we abide by the terms above.

 


 

9. Exceptions & Special Cases

 

  • International Orders: Return costs, duties, and customs for international buyers are the buyer’s responsibility unless damaged/defective.

  • Promotional Products: Free gifts or bonuses shipped with your order may not be eligible for separate return unless defective.

  • Bulk / Wholesale Orders: Terms may differ—discussed and agreed in writing before purchase.

 


 

10. Policy Changes

 

  • We may update this policy from time to time.

  • New versions apply to future orders; past orders are governed by the policy version at time of purchase.

  • We’ll post updates publicly with “Effective Date” timestamp.

Amazon Store Addendum (Applies to Purchases on Amazon)

 

 

  1. Amazon Takes Precedence

    For orders placed on Amazon, Amazon’s policies control parts of the transaction (returns, refunds, claim handling) in addition to these Terms. The A-to-z Guarantee protects buyers for late delivery, not-as-described, or other issues with third-party sellers. 

  2. Returns & Refunds on Amazon

    Amazon sets category-specific rules. Grocery & Gourmet items are typically non-returnable but may be eligible for refund or replacement if damaged/defective/late, handled via Amazon’s system. Follow your Amazon order page for options. 

  3. Communications & Data

    We communicate with Amazon customers only via Buyer-Seller Messaging and do not use customer data for off-Amazon marketing, per Amazon’s Selling Policies & Code of Conduct. 

  4. Fulfillment

    If FBA, Amazon manages warehousing, packing, and carrier handoff; shipping speed and tracking follow Amazon’s standards. If FBM, we ship per timelines shown on Amazon and in compliance with the FTC’s 30-day rule when no time is stated. 

  5. Accuracy & Compliance

    We maintain accurate listings and comply with all food labeling requirements (ingredients by common name, Nutrition Facts, net contents, origin where required). 

  6. A-to-z Claims

    If you open an A-to-z claim, Amazon adjudicates; we’ll respond within Amazon’s deadlines and honor resolutions issued by Amazon.
